Kaunas Town Hall

Upon arriving to the museum, a new exhibit has a long way to go before it is ready to meet our visitors. To shorten this path, museologists begin to periodically display the latest and most interesting exhibit of our museum.

Kaunas City Museum presents clay medals that were obtained this January. The first medal, representing King Mindaugas of Lithuania and the Grand Dukes Jogaila and Vytautas, is a replica of the medal made by the sculptor Vytautas Kasuba. It was dedicated to the anniversary of the Lithuanian Christianity in 1987. The second medal was dedicated to the Constituent Congress of the Lithuanian Reform Movement that was held on 22 October 1988. The Congress requested for the declaration of the Lithuanian language as a state language.

See our “New Arrival” until March 1st at Kaunas Town Hall (Rotušės sq. 15).
