Practical information on getting to and visiting the Folk Music Museum

Getting here

If you are arriving by car: the nearest paid car park is at the intersection of Muitinės St. and M. Daukšos St.

If you are arriving by public transport:the nearest stop is called Karaliaus Mindaugo prospektas. You can take buses 6, 18, and 42. There is also the Vilniaus gatvės stop nearby. You can take trolleybuses 1, 2, 5, 7, 14, 15 and buses 23, 29, 35, 35A, 37, 39, 40, 46, 47, 57 to arrive at this stop.

The entrance to the museum is through a gate on L. Zamenhofo St.

Visitors with reduced mobility can access the museum by elevator. Please kindly inform the museum staff in advance of your visit by phone (+370 694 20 643) or email (tm.kasa@kaunomuziejus.lt).

You can try out many Lithuanian folk instruments and get to know their forms and feel their vibrations. We also invite you to watch the film TI TA TO, which is translated into Lithuanian Sign Language.
