About the activity

We invite you to explore Lithuanian folk music in the Folk Music Museum! Two main themes are presented here: the tradition of playing kanklės in different regions of Lithuania and the culture of shepherding and sutartinės. During this guided tour, you will have the opportunity to take part in an interactive activity: joining in the sutartinės and panpipes karaoke, listening to music recordings, and learning about the old tradition of Lithuanian rural music-making and its contemporary trend, post-folklore. You will also see internationally wide-spread instruments that have become common in Lithuania.

This guided tour is suitable for people with visual impairment. Also available in English.
