To help make one of life’s most important celebrations go as smoothly as possible, we’ve put together a short guide to the museum’s services and visiting conditions:
- There is no public parking at the museum, so please park in the surrounding streets (e.g. Radastai, etc.). Persons with reduced mobility are kindly requested to park in the Museum’s staff car park, in the area designated for people with disabilities (entrance from Vydūnas Avenue).
- Before or after the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds and guests can visit the museum’s exhibitions (€3 per person) or pre-book a guided tour or an educational session (€4 per person). Visiting the exhibitions is free of charge for newlyweds and witnesses. For more information on the excursions and educational activities on offer, please visit the Museum’s website at kaunomuziejus.lt.
- We offer the newlyweds a special setting for a photo session (EUR 50 per hour) in the memorial apartment of Kipras Petrauskas and Elena Žalinkevičaitė, which has retained its authentic interwar interior.
- Newlyweds can entertain their guests in the courtyard or in the small hall of the museum, subject to a rental contract (€40 per hour), if the space is available at the time. For advance rental of the Museum’s spaces, please contact us by phone +370 698 77 570 or by e-mail n.kaminskaite@kaunomuziejus.lt.
